So I’ve now completely caught up with posting my life drawing on here (finally!). This is my most recent session from last month and my third time drawing this model. My regular blue pencil broke as I started drawing so U had to use a HB pencil instead. Interestingly, I find the blue pencil works well for shading but the HB works better for drawing more detail, maybe I could combine the two again
There was a new model at this drawing session, at least a new model to me. He was a very interesting model to draw due to his victorian moustache and long dreadlocks. His slim and tall body type was also something I haven’t drawn before in a life drawing class which was great as it adds more variety to the sessions.
I like to date my life drawing sessions, but for some reason I forgot to with this one. I have no idea what they exact date would be but it would probably be from the end of last year.
This was a model I’ve drawn quite a few times now and I really like how the reclining pose turned out in this session.
Some more life drawing. I’ve drawn this model a few times now and she’s always a great one to draw. I particularly like the sitting pose out of these two. I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned it previously, but the model does have some tattoos but I always leave them out of my drawings as I feel I can’t do them justice.
Still catching up on posting my life drawings on here, this sessions is from August last year! To try and get them on my blog quicker, I’m not editing them at all.
Normally I would clean up the background of theses drawings but I think they look okay for the most part.
This is the only time I’ve drawn this model, so far at least, and it was useful to have another male model with a different body type.
I’ve fallen so behind with posting my life drawing, these drawings are from sessions from last year! It was the first time I’d drawn this kind of body type in a life drawing class and I really struggled with it. As the model was very muscular it was tricky trying to get the right proportions, however it was great practice and it’s always great having different models to draw.
A new model I hadn’t drawn before modelled for this session back in July. She was a great model to draw and I can see her poses coming in handy for future work, possibly mermaids.
Unfortunately, my blue pencil broke part way through drawing the second image, so I had to use a regular HB pencil to finish it. I quite like the mixture though.
I’ve been meaning to post these for a while now, but I’ve only just got around to editing them. These drawings are of the same model but from two separate sessions, one from June and the other from August.
I’ve drawn this model before and find her really interesting to draw, I particularly like the sitting poses. The model herself has quite a few tattoos which I didn’t really detail in my drawings, however, if I were to draw her in a longer pose, I think the tattoos would be a really interesting thing to focus on.
These life drawings are from three separate sessions way back in May and June. I decided to compile them all into one post as it was the same model for each of the sessions.
I’ve gotten quite used to drawing this particular model now, I think she is one of the models I’ve drawn the most, and I’m pretty happy with the outcome of the first four drawings. However, I did struggle with the last two drawings and I’m not quite sure why.
